Founded in 1970 in Afghanistan, Brishna FC is a family-owned football club built on tradition, ambition, and excellence. Established by Gul Mohamed Mashriqi, the club has remained under the leadership of the Mashriqi family for over five decades, preserving the same passion and commitment that inspired its creation.

The club was founded by Gul Mohamed Mashriqi and is now led by Ibrahim Mashriqi, who has proudly served as the club’s owner and head coach for more than 35 years. Under his leadership, Brishna FC has continued to grow while remaining true to its values of family, discipline, and excellence.

For more than 30 years, Brishna FC has proudly represented New York’s soccer community while honoring its Afghan roots. Throughout our history, the club has competed in some of the region’s most respected competitions, including the Cosmopolitan Soccer League, the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL), and the Long Island Soccer Football League (LISFL). Today, Brishna FC proudly competes in LISFL Division 1, continuing to challenge itself against top-level competition.

Brishna FC has also established a strong reputation on the national stage by traveling across the United States to compete in elite tournaments. With more than 30 championship titles, the club has built a winning culture founded on discipline, teamwork, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
